Mano Bank Presents Its 2024 Sustainability Report

2025-05-07

Mano Bank has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, which reviews the bank’s performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas. This marks the third step in the bank’s ongoing commitment to transparently communicate its progress in sustainability.

The bank’s CEO, Giedrė Blazgienė, notes:
“Reflecting on the past year, I am proud to share our 2024 Sustainability Report, which highlights our strong commitment to integrating sustainability into every aspect of our operations. We provide financing in line with the European Commission’s ‘InvestEU’ program, aimed at encouraging investments in sustainability projects, innovation, and job creation across the EU. Even during a period of high interest rates, the need to boost efficiency, transition to renewable energy sources, and develop the small and medium-sized business segment was evident – contributing to Lithuania’s economic growth while allowing the bank to sustainably grow its loan portfolio.”

In 2024, Mano Bank actively invested in sustainable projects, supported the expansion of green energy, and operated entirely on green electricity. The bank also contributed to a record 39.2-hectare forest purchase in the Pašekščiai forest, in partnership with the “Sengirė Foundation,” with the aim of preserving natural ecosystems and biodiversity.

“For us, sustainability means not only environmental responsibility but also social engagement – we supported community initiatives, promoted an environment that values diversity and inclusivity, and encouraged sustainable business practices. We aim to be a reliable partner for our clients, helping them achieve their goals and create a better world together,” says G. Blazgienė.

Mano Bank has set a goal to achieve net-zero CO₂ emissions by 2050. Its approach to sustainability is grounded in actively pursuing goals such as efficient resource use, environmental impact reduction, social responsibility, gender equality, responsible consumption, and climate change mitigation. Mano Bank will also continue to strengthen cybersecurity, enhance governance transparency, and foster an ethical organizational culture.

The 2024 Sustainability Report was initiated by Mano Bankas, AB  in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and recommendations from the Bank of Lithuania.
