Stronger payment protection starting October 5

2025-09-15

Dear Customers,

Your financial security is important to us. Therefore, in line with the requirements of European Union legislation and in order to ensure even greater payment safety, starting from October 5, 2025, we will apply an updated procedure for initiating and executing payments.

New service –  Verification of Payee

To reduce the risk of fraud and unintentional errors, we will introduce an additional security measure. When you make a payment within the bank or in euros to another payment service provider registered in Lithuania or in a euro area country, the system will compare the beneficiary’s name, surname, or company name with the data held by the beneficiary’s service provider.

The system will immediately notify you whether the details you entered match. Even if the names do not match, you will still be able to proceed with the payment. However, in such cases, there is a higher risk that the funds may reach the wrong recipient and may not be recoverable. In such situations, responsibility for the decision will rest with the customer.

You can find more information in the “Payments” section at:  www.mano.bank/en/faq

Important to know

You do not need to take any additional action to implement these changes. The bank or other institutions will never send you links asking you to verify or enter your personal or beneficiary data. If you receive such an email or message, it is highly likely to be fraud and an attempt to obtain your login details.

Sincerely yours,
Mano Bank
