Sanctions imposed by China will not affect the bank’s operations, customers, or services
Mano Bank does not operate in China, and the sanctions imposed will not affect the bank’s daily operations or the quality of its services.
August 13th. Mano Bank had no prior information or warnings about the sanctions announced by China, therefore, the exact reasons for this decision remain unclear.
“We have already contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the Bank of Lithuania to obtain more information about the reasons for and significance of the sanctions imposed,” said Giedrė Blazgienė, CEO of Mano Bank. The company’s main activities are carried out in the European Union.
The bank operates in accordance with applicable EU legislation and strictly complies with international sanctions and financial services regulatory requirements. Therefore, this decision will not affect the services or the quality of the bank’s operations.
“China is not, and never has been, our target market. Since we do not conduct active operations in the country, our customers can rest assured that these sanctions will not affect the bank’s operations, customer deposits, or the quality of services provided,” clarified G. Blazgienė.
Mano Bank is a Lithuanian bank and operates in accordance with all applicable EU legislation, and it will continue to comply with international sanctions and financial services regulatory requirements.
